Code of conduct

General principles

KMT Precision Grinding (KMT) shall be a responsible
employer. The operations should be handled with respect and consideration for
human rights, for human health, safety and the environment. KMT shall comply
with the laws and regulations of each country in which it operates.

 

The code gives KMT a guide on how to behave in
different situations. All are invited and expected to report violations of this
Code of Conduct to the immediate supervisor or other management representative.

 

Business principles

Business contacts

KMT’s contacts with business partners are
characterized by impartiality and follow good business practice. KMT guarantee our business partners privacy regarding trade secrets and
all other confidential business related data that we obtain in the business.

 

Anti-corruption

KMT will not offer business partners rewards or
benefits in general. Nor shall KMT employees accept gifts or payments from
third parties in a business relationship that could affect or appear to affect
their objectivity in their business decision.

 

Taxation

KMT shall comply with the tax laws and regulations of
each country in which it operates. Where tax laws do not give clear guidelines,
prudence and transparency shall be the guiding principles.

 

Customer offering

KMT’s products shall meet applicable regulatory and
legal requirements. KMT shall uphold quality, safety and care for the
environment in the development and production of machines / products.

 

Principles of human rights and working principles

Human rights

KMT shall support and respect the protection of
internationally proclaimed human rights and make sure that the company is not
complicit in human rights abuses.

 

Child labor

Child labor is not tolerated. KMT follows the International
Labor Organization’s guidelines regarding age limits.

 

Forced labor

KMT shall not engage in or support forced bonded or compulsory
labor. Employees are free to leave their employment after reasonable notice as
required by law and contract.

 

Non-discrimination

KMT recruit and treat their employees in a way that
does not discriminate with regard to sex, race, religion, age, disability,
sexual orientation, nationality, political opinion, trade union membership,
social or ethnic origin.

KMT value diversity and promote fair treatment and
equal opportunity in recruitment, compensation, training and promotional among
employees regardless of race, religion, political opinion, gender, age,
nationality, sexual orientation, marital status or disability.

KMT respects the right of all employees to join an
association to represent their interests as employees. KMT shall respect the
recognized unions. All employees are therefore entitled to join or not to join
unions.

 

Workplace practice

KMT shall have a safe and healthy work environment for
all employees. KMT shall take appropriate actions to prevent workplace
accidents and occupational diseases.

Working hours and compensation

KMT shall comply with applicable laws and agreements
regarding working hours and wages.

 

Environmental principles

Resource efficiency

KMT shall be a responsible company regarding
environmental issues and strives to reduce its environmental impact.
Environmental regulations must be followed.

 

Compliance

Responsibility for compliance

It is the responsibility of the KMT managers to implement this policy and inform their
employees of their rights, duties and responsibilities.
It is the responsibility of all employees to comply with the Code of conduct, local laws
and the KMT policies.

 

Language

The original language
of this document is English. If translated into other languages, the English
version shall take precedence in case of dispute.
